Trea Turner and Alec Bohm are headed to the injured list. Bryce Harper is leading off. There were a ton of developments Monday afternoon as the Phillies prepared to open up a four-game set with the New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park.
Here are some additional newsworthy nuggets that got lost in the shuffle during a crazy Monday.
Reliever Daniel Robert told On Pattison that an MRI on his right elbow revealed a "pretty gnarly" flexor strain. Fortunately, Robert won't need Tommy John surgery, which he's already had once. But his season is over, as he'll be shut down from throwing for three weeks and transferred to the 60-day injured list.
Despite right-hander Nolan McLean pitching for the Mets Monday, Nick Castellanos is in the lineup over Brandon Marsh. That's because Marsh is dealing with the flu, as if the Phillies needed any more issues.

Zack Wheeler was at Citizens Bank Park today. I don't have anything else to offer because as the media was entering the clubhouse Monday, Wheeler was exiting towards where the trainer's room is. This is the first time I've seen him since the blood clot/thoracic outlet syndrome that ended his season.
Bryce Harper last led off in Game 161 of the 2022 season, when the Phillies had already clinched a playoff spot and others were out of the lineup after a celebration the night before. Harper was joined in the lineup that day by Darick Hall (1B), Nick Maton (2B), Matt Vierling (LF), Dalton Guthrie (RF) and Garrett Stubbs (C).
Harper: "You can't replace a Trea Turner, just like you can't replace a Zack Wheeler or anybody else. Everybody's just gotta do their job, and understand that doing their job is the best thing for us. Whatever that means for any individual in here, they just gotta do that."
