Looking to upgrade their special teams - specifically the kick returner position, the Philadelphia Eagles traded for Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby on Monday.
The Eagles will send a 2026 5th round and a 2026 sixth round pick to Jacksonville in exchange for Bigsby, who for a brief time last season, seemed to be emerging as a consistent part of the Jaguars offense.

Bigsby had 766 yard rushing on 168 carries last season and seven touchdowns. He also had seven catches for 54 yards.
Bigsby saw limited time in the Jags Week 1 win over Carolina, rushing for just 12 yards on five carries.
A 2023 third round pick out of Auburn by Jacksonville, Bigsby, 24, will immediately join an Eagles running back room that has some depth but also suffered some injuries.
Will Shipley suffered a rib injury in the first half against Dallas last Thursday. Additionally, Ben VanSumeren, who was expected to see some time at fullback, was lost for the season on the opening play of the game with a knee injury.

That leaves A.J. Dillon as the lone running back behind Saquon Barkley for Week 2.
However, while the Eagles have not updated Shipley's status, he shouldn't miss significant time, meaning Bigsby will likely become a special teams addition, most notably as a kick returner.
He has returned 11 kicks in his career for Jacksonville and averaged 28.5 yards per return.
