The arena formerly known as "Wells Fargo Center" has a new name.
Comcast Spectacor unveiled "Xfinity Mobile Arena" signage Tuesday morning, officially completing the transition to the building's new moniker.
"We hope it's clear how excited we are about this partnership," Comcast Spectacor Chief Revenue and Business Officer Todd Glickman said Tuesday morning at the signage reveal.
"Xfinity Mobile's brand is now the centerpiece for sports and entertainment in Philadelphia. They match our enthusiasm for delivering world class service to our fans."
The Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers have called Xfinity Mobile Arena their home since it opened in 1996 as the CoreStates Center. Other previous names of the arena include the First Union Center, the Wachovia Center, and for the past 15 years, the Wells Fargo Center.
Flyers mascot Gritty and the Flyers ice team, along with Sixers mascot Franklin and the 76ers drumline, were in attendance for the reveal. Sixers players Jared McCain and VJ Edgecombe also made appearances alongside Flyers players Sean Couturier and Travis Sanheim:

Along with Flyers and Sixers home games, Xfinity Mobile Arena regularly hosts concerts, comedy shows and other sporting events. With all those events in mind, Xfinity Mobile Arena will implement a "massive upgrade" to the arena's WiFi network. Fans will experience internet speeds up to 10 times faster than the previous network.
"Fans with the latest smartphones will enjoy an incredible WiFi experience like no other, where they can share a Jared McCain three-pointer, a Sean Couturier hat trick, or even live stream Benson Boone's backflips tomorrow night," Matt Lederer, Vice President of Brand Partnerships and Engagement at Comcast, said.
Lederer also shared that the WiFi network will soon be extended throughout the Xfinity Mobile Arena parking lots, so fans can experience fast WiFi "from tailgate to tipoff."
With all the purple theming around Xfinity Mobile Arena, 76ers shooting guard Jared McCain – who famously paints his fingernails – was asked when he'll sport purple nails in honor of the arena.
"I usually go with our team colors," McCain said. "I use team colors or white or black, keep it real simple with that. I don't know about purple. I get lavender here and there."
Then Sixers rookie and No. 3 overall pick VJ Edgecombe was asked who he wants to dunk on first in Xfinity Mobile Arena.
"Whoever's under the rim, to be honest," Edgecombe said.
Comcast Spectacor, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment and the City of Philadelphia announced in January that a new privately financed arena, set to open in 2031, will replace Xfinity Mobile Arena. The current naming rights deal for Xfinity Mobile Arena will run through the duration of the arena's remaining lifespan and will expire after the 2030-31 season.
