Coming off two straight losses, the Philadelphia Eagles can use their mini-bye to self scout and correct.

On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan dove into the current issues plaguing the team.

Landon Dickerson

Geoff Mosher: “Only he knows and the medical staff knows, but he has missed so much time with various injuries here going back to the offseason, there’s a part of me that thinks he needs to take some time off to heal up totally and get some conditioning in. There has been times where he has hurt the team by not being able to execute the way he normally executes.”

Run Game

Adam Caplan: “Even if you’re not running your usual outside zone plays, you can still do a toss play, they’re not even doing that outside.”

Mosher: “The offensive line has got to get healthier, but there’s no excuse with Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert, who’s a good in-line blocker, to not be able to run the ball better. You started to see it against the Giants.”

Pass Game

Mosher: “What their offense and pass game is missing is sequencing, a good marriage between your run game, your intermediate pass game which could include RPOs, and then your deep pass game. Right now, the Eagles are a shot play offense.”

Caplan: “It really started in 2023, they do the same stuff every week. They have to see what their tendency is formationally and personnel groupings, change it up. We know (Jalen) Hurts likes to throw to one side of the field, but he has thrown inside

Cornerbacks

Caplan: “They are so paper thin at corner. Right now their healthy corners are Adoree Jackson, Kelee Ringo, Parry Nickerson, and Mac McWilliams, who didn’t dress.”
