Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper will enter the postseason tied for the Phillies' franchise lead in playoff home runs at 12, creating an interesting secondary storyline for the two faces of the team.

Jayson Werth (11), Chase Utley (10) and Ryan Howard (eight) are next up on the list. Amazingly, Mike Schmidt only had four playoff home runs in 36 career October tilts.

Both Schwarber and Harper have played in 34 postseason games with the Phillies, with each of their most notable playoff home runs as Phillies coming during the 2022 NLCS against the San Diego Padres.

Schwarber hit a 488-foot shot off of Yu Darvish in Game 1 of the 2022 NLCS:

Harper, of course, hit an opposite-field home run to send the Phillies to the World Series off of Robert Suárez in Game 5 of the NLCS. "Bedlam at the Bank," as Scott Franzke dubbed it, is arguably the most iconic home run in franchise history:

Not only are Schwarber and Harper competing for the top spot on the franchise home run leaderboard, but each has a chance this October to climb up the MLB playoff chart as well.

Between his time with the Phillies, Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox, Schwarber has 21 career postseason home runs. That's the most by a left-handed hitter in MLB history, and fourth-most by anyone, trailing only Manny Ramirez (29), Jose Altuve (27) and Bernie Williams (22).

Harper isn't quite that high, but he'll enter this postseason with 17 career playoff homers between the Phillies and Washington Nationals. Harper is currently tied with Hall of Famers David Ortiz and Jim Thome for 15th in MLB history. With one more home run, he'll move into a five-way tie with Giancarlo Stanton, Carlos Correa, Nelson Cruz, Reggie Jackson and Mickey Mantle.
