Wednesday afternoon, MLB released official details for the upcoming 2026 rendition of MLB at Field of Dreams. The game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Minnesota Twins will be played on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, in Dyersville, Iowa. The Phillies will then be off Friday, Aug. 14, before finishing the Twins series in Minneapolis.

The MLB at Field of Dreams specialty game is played at a ballpark next to the filming site of the Academy Award-nominated 1989 film Field of Dreams. The inaugural game was played between the Chicago White Sox – the team prominently featured in the iconic baseball movie – and the New York Yankees in Aug. 2021. In Aug. 2022, the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds also emerged from the cornfields before playing in the second edition of game.
From 2023 to 2025, MLB at Field of Dreams was not played due to construction at the site. Now it will make its return in 2026, with Minnesota playing host as the home team. As was originally reported in August, the Twins and the Phillies will both play their first game in Iowa.
The specialty game is one of the MLB events newly acquired by Netflix, as announced Wednesday by MLB. Per MLB and Netflix's agreement, Netflix will also air 2026 Opening Night and the T-Mobile Home Run Derby
The Phillies have been no stranger to MLB's showcase events recently. They played in the Little League Classic in 2018 and 2023, and they traveled to London in 2024. Clearly, MLB benefits from putting the Phillies on a national stage.
The Phillies and Twins will likely wear custom-made throwback uniforms in the matchup, just as the participating teams did in 2021 and 2022. Perhaps the Phils will don the 1915 block 'P' logo or the 1925 script 'P' logo. (Take a look at more classic logo options here.)
The ballpark in Iowa can only hold 7,800 seats, so tickets will be extremely hard to come by. But viewers at home will get chills watching the Phillies emerge from the cornfields just the same.
