Of the 17 games on their 2025 schedule, here are the four juiciest matchups that stick out.

Sunday, Nov. 16 vs. Detroit Lions at 8:20 ET on NBC

Injuries decimated Detroit's defense down the stretch of the 2025 season, and ultimately led to them being upset by the Washington Commanders in the NFC Divisional Round. So we never got what once appeared to be an inevitable NFC Championship matchup between the Eagles and Lions.

We'll never know how things may have played out if the Lions had stayed healthier, because from here, they were probably the most talented roster in football outside of the Eagles. But this figures to be a matchup with implications on the hierarchy of the NFC.

The Lions did lose both offensive coordinator Ben Johnson (now the head coach of the Chicago Bears) and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn (now the head coach of the New York Jets), and the 2023 Eagles can attest to how uncertain backfilling both coordinator positions can be.

But general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell have built an incredibly talented team with a great culture, so this still projects to be one of the best games of the NFL season.

Sunday, Sept. 21 vs. Los Angeles Rams at 1:00 ET on FOX

If not for a game-saving sack of Matthew Stafford by Jalen Carter, the Rams might have upset the Eagles in the Divisional Round. In any event, Los Angeles is going to be a trendy Super Bowl pick heading into this season, and a team the Eagles will very likely see again in the playoffs.

Even as he enters his age-37 season, Stafford is still playing at a high level. And the Rams have now added three-time All-Pro Davante Adams to go along with Puka Nacua at the wide receiver position.

Additionally, Central Columbia's Jared Verse might not have many fans in Philadelphia, but the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year became a game-wrecker in the second half of the 2024 season. He's a force that the Eagles will have to account for when they face Sean McVay's squad.

Sunday, Dec. 28 @ Buffalo Bills at 4:25 ET on FOX

The Bills haven't been able to get by the Kansas City Chiefs  — more on them in a minute — in the postseason, but under the leadership of former Eagles defensive coordinator Sean McDermott they have been one of the most successful teams in recent years.

Josh Allen is the reigning NFL MVP, and it will be interesting to see a Bills team that added Joey Bosa to their pass rush lock horns with the Eagles in what will undoubtedly be dubbed a potential Super Bowl preview.

The last time that the Eagles and Bills met came in November 2023 and produced an instant-classic game. Jalen Hurts threw for three touchdowns and then added another two on the ground, including a walkoff scamper in overtime to cement a 37-34 win.

Sunday, Sept. 14 @ Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 ET on FOX

Considering Eagles-Chiefs has been the matchup in two of the last three Super Bowls, this had to be on here.

Last we saw, the Eagles' pass rush overwhelmed the Chiefs in a 40-22 Super Bowl LIX victory that wasn't as close as the score would indicate.

Kansas City defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo actually put together a great gameplan to hold Saquon Barkley in check — the Offensive Player of the Year had just 57 rushing yards — but it didn't matter. The Eagles consistently broke through a fractured Chiefs offensive line, and Jalen Hurts outplayed Patrick Mahomes for the second time in as many matchups on the highest stage.

The Chiefs have revamped their offensive line this offseason, and return one of the greatest quarterback-coach combinations in NFL history with Mahomes and Andy Reid. They'll no doubt have a little extra motivation coming into this game.
