Phillies Opening Day is just around the corner. Visions of sunshine and baseball are dancing in fans' heads. Is there anything better than settling in for a Zack Wheeler start at Citizens Bank Park with cold beer, peanuts, and a hot dog in hand?
Aramark says yes, apparently: Grab yourself a piping hot s'mores quesadilla near section 142.
It's not exactly classic baseball fare. But it's also not as gross as the name might make you think. There's no cheese or salsa involved.
Aramark describes the creation as "Nutella, mini marshmallows and graham cracker crumble in a crispy flour tortilla served with a chocolate dipping sauce."
Not really something we'd look for at the old ballpark, but to each their own.
2025 marks 40 years of partnership between Aramark and the Phillies, and the s'mores quesadilla is just one of several new items the food provider is releasing to celebrate the anniversary. Other products include:
- Kyle's Cutlets: This is a "chicken cutlet sandwich topped with creamy burrata, crispy fried pepperoni, and arugula, drizzled with a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce on a Liscio’s Bakery roll," says Aramark. "A portion of the proceeds from every sandwich sold will be donated to Schwarber's Neighborhood Heroes, supporting those who make a difference in the community." (Location: Section 142)
- Red Velvet Affogato: Aramark describes this as "red velvet cookies, vanilla ice cream and espresso." (Location: The Yard, Section 102)
Aramark also announced that 16- and 24-ounce Beverage Bats will return as a souvenir item at the Bank, along with Fastball Souvenir Cups (baseball-shaped cups designed to hold frozen cocktails or beverages served on ice and adorned with the Phillies logo) and new Cotton Candy Masks (foam masks showcasing the Phanatic, available in one size that is adjustable for kids and adults).
Fans will get their first opportunity to wrap their hands around a dang quesadilla at the Bank on March 31, when the Phillies battle the Rockies in the Phils' home opener.
