Lane Johnson is a potential future Hall of Famer. Sunday, he made his pitch on joining the Eagles to a player certain to one day be enshrined in Canton.
Shortly after news broke that the Buffalo Bills would be releasing Von Miller, Johnson sent a simple-but-clear tweet in the direction of the former Super Bowl MVP:

Miller will turn 36 later this month, so he's no longer the player he was at the height of his powers with the Denver Broncos. Still, the three-time All-Pro had six sacks and seven tackles for a loss in 13 games this past season, so he can still provide value. The Eagles could lose Brandon Graham to retirement and Super Bowl LIX hero Josh Sweat in free agency, meaning pass rusher might be an area they are looking to add at. Miller is still capable of being an effective rotational piece.
However, there is an off-the-field component that at least has to be mentioned here. Though he wasn't ultimately charged and vehemently denied the allegations, Miller was arrested after being accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend in November of 2023. He served a four-game suspension during the 2024 season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Presumably, it wouldn't be very difficult for the Eagles to figure out what the NFL's investigation into Miller determined took place, and make a decision from there whether or not they would feel comfortable employing him.
