The Phillies activated first baseman Bryce Harper from the injured list Monday.
Harper, the 2021 NL MVP, had been on the 10-day I.L. since June 7 with right wrist inflammation, an injury which had been nagging at him since last season. He has not played in a game since June 5. In 57 games in 2025, Harper is hitting .258/.368/.446 with nine home runs and 34 RBIs.
Since Harper was put on the I.L. on June 7, the Phillies have gone 12-9.
Infielder Buddy Kennedy was designated for assignment by the Phillies in a corresponding move. Kennedy did not record a hit in seven at-bats across four games played.
Rookie infielder Otto Kemp, the player originally called up when Harper went on the I.L., remains on the Phillies' 26-man roster. Kemp is batting .246 with a .673 OPS in 20 games played.
