A Phillies offense that's already rather thin outside of Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper and Trea Turner got even thinner Saturday afternoon.
Prior to the second tilt in a three-game weekend set against the Los Angeles Angels, the Phillies announced that Alec Bohm has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left rib. Weston Wilson was scratched from Triple-A Lehigh Valley's lineup and has instead been recalled by the Phillies.
Bohm was out of Saturday's starting lineup, with Otto Kemp instead getting the start at the hot corner. Manager Rob Thomson said in his pregame media session that Bohm's left rib bothered him again in his final at-bat of Friday evening's loss, and that he was going to see the doctor.

Evidently, the doctor's visit was where the rib fracture was discovered.
Bohm exited last Saturday's game against the San Diego Padres early after initially remaining in when Yu Darvish hit him with a pitch on the "lower left back." After not playing in the final game of the first half Sunday, Bohm went 0-for-4 Friday against the Halos coming out of the All-Star Break.
Wilson will rejoin the Phillies after hitting just .194 in 36 at-bats earlier this year. However, there is reason to think he's a better player than that. Wilson hit .284 with an .836 OPS in 88 at-bats for the Phillies last year, particularly finding success against left-handed pitchers. He, Kemp and Edmundo Sosa will have to be part of the solution at third base in Bohm's absence, a calculation made even more difficult by how poorly Bryson Stott is playing at second base.
