Days after being inundated with cheers of his name at The Center, David Roddy is being waived to make room for Jalen Hood-Schifino.
Adam Aaronson was first to report that Roddy was being waived.
Hood-Schifino will take up a two-way slot, according to Shams Charania.
Hood-Schifino has played 57 NBA minutes across two seasons since being drafted 17th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023.
He was sent to the Utah Jazz as part of the shocking Luka Doncic trade ahead of the deadline. They later waived the 6-foot-5 21-year-old.
It's been a busy day for the Sixers. But, there are still a few hours left in Friday night to make one last news dump if they so choose.
