The "Love, Hurts" hoodie was part of a broader marketing campaign by Jordan Brand, with whom Hurts has a notable endorsement deal. The campaign cleverly interweaves the Eagles' quarterback's narrative of overcoming doubts to achieve success. The hoodie, featuring the words "Love, Hurts" in bold, red lettering, was not only a nod to Hurts' surname but also symbolized his journey and the love from the Philadelphia fanbase.
Throughout the parade, fans and media alike captured images and videos of Hurts in the hoodie.
This marketing strategy by Jordan Brand extended beyond just the parade. Leading up to the event, Philadelphia's LOVE Park was temporarily renamed "Love, Hurts" with signage that included Hurts' name next to the iconic LOVE statue. This addition was not only a celebration of the team's victory but also an homage to Hurts' contributions to the community, his foundation, and his role as an ambassador for Philadelphia.
Hurts' choice of attire during the parade also coincided with a broader campaign involving ads and billboards across the city.
