Thursday's NFL Honors turned into a busy night for the Eagles.
Unsurprisingly, Saquon Barkley was voted the Offensive Player of the Year after rushing for 2,005 yards in his first season in Midnight Green:

Barkley finished third in NFL MVP voting, garnering 120 points in the voting system. In a bit of a twist, Josh Allen edged out Lamar Jackson for MVP, 383 to 362. After Jackson was named a First-Team All-Pro last month, he was expected to win his third MVP. Evidently, a massive block of voters decided on something of a compromise, as there were clearly some who selected Jackson as First-Team All-Pro at quarterback, but voted for Allen to win MVP. It's Allen's first MVP, and his win marks the 12th consecutive year a quarterback has taken home the award.
Meanwhile, the most pleasantly surprising news from an Eagles perspective was that cornerback Eric Allen — who had 34 interceptions in seven seasons in Philadelphia — was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame:

This was Allen's 19th year of eligibility, so he certainly waited quite a while to get this call. Allen is joined by Antonio Gates, Sterling Sharpe and Jared Allen in the Canton Class of the 2025.
Elsewhere, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean finished second and fourth, respectively, in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting:

Zack Baun — who was already a First-Team All-Pro selection at middle linebacker — posted a fifth-place finish in Defensive Player of the Year voting:
The voting for the 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year selected by The Associated Press in balloting by a nationwide panel of media:
(Voting is on a 10-5-3-2-1 basis)
Patrick Surtain II, Denver: 26-11-2-4-1: 330
Trey Hendrickson, Cincinnati: 11-10-9-8-2: 205
Myles Garrett,…
Of course, the biggest potential honor still awaits the Eagles, who will face off with the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.
