ORLANDO, Fla. — We don't yet know if Kyle Schwarber will still be wearing red pinstripes in April, but we do now know he'll be donning the red, white and blue in March.
It was announced Tuesday that Schwarber will return to Team USA for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, which is set to take place from March 5-17 of next year:

Schwarber previously competed for Team USA in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, hitting .214 with two home runs, four RBIs and five walks across five games. The American squad ultimately lost to Shohei Ohtani and Team Japan in an epic title game:
In 2023, Schwarber was joined by fellow Phillies J.T. Realmuto and Trea Turner on Team USA, with the latter having a stretch for the ages, homering five times and driving in 11 runs in 23 at-bats. Both Cal Raleigh and Will Smith have committed to playing for Team USA in 2026, meaning Realmuto will likely not be asked to return. It's unclear if Turner will considering both Bobby Witt Jr. and Gunnar Henderson are already committed, though he and/or Henderson could potentially slide over to second base.
