Celebrated film director Tim Chey is shooting his new movie ‘THE FLOOD: END OF MANKIND’ to be released in 2,500 theaters in October 2026.
This will be Chey’s 18th movie and his 4th film on the end times.
Kevin Sorbo is attached to play the lead which will be his 3rd with the director.
Usually Chey focuses on the Book of Revelation, but this time it will be on Noah and the great flood that destroyed the earth as in the Book of Genesis.
“Everything in the days we live in points to the Lord’s return. And Jesus said in the days of Noah so shall it be before His return,” says Chey.
When the first ‘Noah’ movie was released over 12 years ago, the Christian/Catholic community reacted strongly against the film’s storyline, which many said was not correct. While the film did well at the box office, many box office pundits believe the film could have done far better if the story had been Biblically-correct to embrace the true faith-based church-goers.
“I wanted to make a Biblically-correct version of the Noah’s Ark story,” says director Tim Chey, “This film will focus on the three days before total devastation from the worldwide flood. This film will focus on the three days before total devastation from the worldwide flood. It will be the scariest Christian movie ever made I humbly believe.”
“We’re living in the last days before the Lord’s return,” says Chey. “You just have to go to a football game to see this,” he adds jokingly.
The story of Noah in the Bible speaks of a time of great violence and Godless behavior on the earth. The Lord destroyed the entire earth through the flood, but spared Noah and his family due to Noah’s righteousness.
Shooting is taking place in California and several top VFX artists will be helping with the film.
Chey’s recently completed film, ‘Christmas Eve’ opens in theaters in December 2026.
‘Christmas Eve’ is based on seven true stories of people who found Jesus on Christmas Eve around the world. The film has garnered critical acclaim in the several cities where the film has has had a premiere.
Chey runs the third largest faith-based movie company in the U.S and has produced/directed over 17 feature films.
Chey also produced the faith-based movie ‘Freedom’ (Cuba Gooding, Jr., William Sadler, Sharon Leal) that was shot on the Amistad for Showtime and also produced and directed Sony Pictures faith-based ‘Slamma Jamma’ (Michael Irvin, Chris Staples) along with ‘The Islands’, ’20 Minutes’, ‘Journey to Hell’
Chey is a Harvard and USC alumnus. He is also a pro-bono trial attorney helping churches and faith-based organizations.
