It was hardly a Joe Namath-esque moment, but Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had a quote in his pregame interview with FOX's Erin Andrews that will probably be mentioned every time is name is brought up for the remainder of the season.
Andrews and Prescott got into a conversation at the conclusion of their interview about manifesting things, which led to the following exchange.
Andrews: The 2024 Dallas Cowboys will...
Prescott: Will ... win the Super Bowl.

On one hand, it would be problematic for Prescott to think anything other than this. On the other hand, this seems like a moment where you deflect and say something like "have a great season" that won't generate headlines. Prescott isn't a rookie, he knows this quote will be held against him. Perhaps he doesn't mind that added pressure.
But never mind what the reaction to this quote will be if the Cowboys have another early postseason exit, imagine if they lose later this afternoon in Cleveland against the Browns. Even if Prescott was led into the answer, it just seems like an unforced error.
Of course, since the recording of this interview, Prescott and the Cowboys agreed to four-year/$240 million deal that guarantees him a record-setting $231 million. With that type of money, Prescott may legitimately not care if social media users dunk on him.
